20 min - Probably the easiest dough to make. It is very useful. For example, you can make chocolate, strawberry, or lemon tarts. Bon appétit!
Ingredients:
120 grams of butter
250 grams of flour (2 cups)
70 grams of granulated sugar (5/8 cup)(confectioner sugar works even better!)
1 egg

THE STEP BY STEP RECIPE
1. Butter, Sugar, and Egg
With your fingers, work the sugar in the butter in order to incorporate those two ingredients
When homogeneous, add the egg (white + yolk) stir with a whisk
This is going to be a bit complicated because the butter doesn't want to incorporate with the egg but keep stirring until you obtain something homogeneous (there can be small pieces of sugary butter but it needs to be consistent)
2. Making your dough
Add the flour (sift is possible)
Incorporate with your fingers
When you have a nice homogeneous dough, drop it on your work surface
Work your dough with your hand to make it nice and souple
To do so you are going to " raised" your dough.
Form a rough bowl and push with the palm of your hands to roll it out
Repeat until you obtain a nice dough:
Place your dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
