10 min - The traditional pain perdu, basically the french version of french toasts! If you have some leftover, dried, bread, this recipe is made for you! Bon appétit!

Time : 10 minutes
Ingredients:
some leftover, dried, bread
2 eggs
25 cl of milk (or 1 cup)
75g of granulated sugar (or 0.4 cup)
some vanilla extract
1. Making the dip
Whisk the eggs, the milk, and the sugar
Add the vanilla extract
Stir well
2. Prepare the bread
Cut the bread in 1/4 inch slices
Place the pieces in a deep tray
Pour the dip on top of the slices
You're almost done!
You now need to wait for the bread to soak up all of the mixture.
3. Cooking your Pains perdus
Heat a pan on high heat
Put a nice knob of butter
When the butter is molten: place a slice of bread in the pan
Wait for the sugar to caramelize before turning the slice
Repeat with all of the slices.
You're done!
