5 min - You have a can of tomato sauce and you want to make great pasta? Follow this recipe to improve the taste of your canned tomato sauce!
Amazing thing about this recipe: you can adapt to what you have. The list that I give contains every ingredient that I used, but it will still taste very good if you don't use any of them.

Ingredients:
Your tomato sauce (any kind), I used the leftover of a bottle of plain tomato sauce and a can of diced tomatoes.
1 onion
1 carrot
1 celery
2-4 slices of bacon (depending on your taste)
some herbs (I used bay leaves and thyme)
1. Prepping
Dice the onion
Slice the carrot and the celery
Slice the bacon in 2cm (3/4 in.) slices

THE STEPS:
Add a drizzle of olive oil to a deep pan or a saucepan
Add the onions
When the onions start to get translucid: add the bacon slices
When the bacon begins to cook and to release its grease: add the carrots and the celeries
You now made your "Garniture Aromatique"
Wait for the vegetables to color and add the tomato sauce
Add the herbs
Cover and let simmer on low heat for as long as possible
You're done!
