🍅Les Oeufs à la Tomate (eggs & tomatoes from the South of France)🍅

20 min - Extremely easy yet delicious. A dish from the South of France, perfect for dinner. Enjoy!




Ingredients: (for 5 people)

10 eggs

10 tomatoes (you can do less, 6-7 will work)

3 bell peppers (same here, do with what you have, 1 bell pepper works fine)

2 onions (1 if you lower the number of tomatoes)


1. The prep work:

The easiest ever!


  • Cut your bell peppers into abt 1 cm or 2/5 inch slices (you really do not have to be exact with this)

  • Cut the tomatoes into slices of about the same size than the bell peppers

  • Do the same thing with the onions


2. Making your "oeufs Ă  la tomate":

The Step by Step Explanations:


  • Place the onions and the bell peppers in a pan drizzled with olive oil


  • Add the tomatoes once the onions are translucid

  • Cover and let simmer for 10-15 minutes

  • Crack the eggs in the pan and let them cook (without covering!) until the whites are cooked through
